Charlie Hunnam talks “Fifty Shades Of Grey” once more in order to clear up any lingering rumors about his controversial decision to walk away from the movie series after agreeing to take the role of Christian Grey. Following his departure from the S&M movies, he was promptly replaced by “Once Upon A Time” actor Jamie Dornan and while some would say that this was a good exchange, there are naysayers saying that the producers of the movie made a big mistake.

Hunnam covers the new issue of “Men’s Health” magazine and inside, he discusses the idea of taking the coveted role of billionaire S&M fiend Christian Grey. He revealed to the publication that taking the role his shooting schedule could have compromised his ability to commit to the movie franchise.

He revealed, “I was going to finish playing a psychopath who’d just lost his wife, and five days later I’d be on set playing Christian Grey. I was like, ‘This is going to be a f***ing disaster.’ It was the opposite of how I’ve tried to ground my career, not stretch myself too thin, and always do my homework.”

Hunnam also said that “there’s a tendency in this Hollywood machinery to take on too much. You end up not being able to give everything you want. Since I was young, I’ve been aware that I need time to myself to process everything.”

Charlie Hunnam commented that after “Fifty Shades Of Grey”, he would’ve had another project lined up. He said, “It was a really, really difficult time in my life”, adding that he had “frankly, something of a nervous breakdown.”

If fans of the “Sons Of Anarchy” are curious how he gets and maintains that sexy body of his, he gave the scoop to the December issue of the magazine. He said, “I go into the gym and do 75 pullups, 75 dips, 150 squats, 150 pushups, and then 20 minutes of ab work. Done. It takes an hour; I’m in and out. I sweat the whole time.”
