It has been confirmed that Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea will be collaborating together for a song to be released for the former’s next album coming out some time in 2015. In Azalea’s own words during an interview with Kiss 108, the Australian rapper confirmed that:

“We have a song, which is going to be her first single, coming out next year.”

She also went on to say that she is a longtime fan of Spears and that it was actually representatives for the pop princess that reached out to her management team after Spears hinted at an interest in working with her.

The two recorded several tracks in the studio and have already decided on the one that would be their single.

Both Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea are both doing quite well. Azalea is no stranger to collaborations and has already completed a number of duets with notables like Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, and Charlie XCX. Spears, of course, is known for her collaboration with Madonna for her 2003 single Me Against The Music.

Speaking of the Toxic singer, she is also currently making big waves for a cover shoot featured in Women’s Health magazine. She graces the front cover in a tummy-exposing bikini and appears to be in better shape than she’s ever been in years. She has also made recent headlines for her high profile relationship with new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol, which delighted Britney fans considering the even more high profile break up with her previous beau David Lucado, which was mired in rumors that he was unfaithful.

With Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea putting out a new single for their adoring fans, this also means multiple live performances are to come. If the audience is lucky, the two might even create social buzz by puckering up just like Spears did with Madonna for the VMAs back in 2003.
