Bill Cosby talks black media, with regard to the allegations of rape that have been made against him by numerous women. Despite the number of women who came forward with accusations being predominantly African American, he expects black journalists to show off their excellence in journalism and hopes they will keep an open mind.

Basically, when all else fails, Cosby has just pulled the race card. It’s unfortunate that the veteran actor and comedian decided to go this way, considering that the rape accusations had nothing to do with race. Cosby has decided to make it all about race, thus separating white media from the black media.

Cosby’s talk of black media portrays a line in the sand with regard to the allegations of rape. Does he mean that this so-called “white media” won’t keep an open mind when reporting the news of his possible rape of over two dozen women?

When reached by phone, Cosby talked to “Page Six” but only briefly. He said, “Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.”

When asked how his wife Camille was holding up during his legal issues, he said, “Love and the strength of womanhood. Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

Cosby wouldn’t talk more after his comments on his wife. He added before cutting off the conversation, “They don’t want me talking to the media.”

Bill Cosby talks black media and is trying to separate the media by race where no race issues exist with regard to the matters of which he’s been accused. He shouldn’t try to split hairs with an already racially charged America in its current state. Cosby should be made aware that it’s not a black and white issue, but an issue of women’s rights and everyone has the right to say no.
