Alexandra Breckenridge has joined the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The 32-year-old actress is taking on the role of a recurring character named Samantha.
Samantha is described as a “strong, smart and articulate mother with a bohemian spirit and a vulnerable side.” The role is scheduled for season five, with the opportunity to carry her characters role over to season 6.
It should be noted that producers of the hit show have often revealed fake names to shield the identity of the series’ real comic book characters. Current information about Alexandra Breckenridge’s character have not been discussed by the show’s team.
The Walking Dead already features a massive case of 17 series regulars, starring Andrew Lincoln as protagonist Rick Grimes, Norman Reedus as survivalist Daryl Dixon, Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee and Lauren Cohan as Rhee’s wife, Maggie Greene.
Also joining the cast this season are Tyler James Williams and Seth Gilliam.
Based on Robert Kirkman’s comics of the same name, the newest season of the post-apocalyptic drama launched on October 12.
Alexandra Breckenridge is best known for her portrayal of Moira O’Hara on the hit series, American Horror Story: Murder House and Kaylee on American Horror Story: Coven. Keeping with her supernatural TV roles, she also played Katerina Pelham on the HBO series True Blood
