Cryptos are having an OK day today as the price of Bitcoin (BTC) is rising 2% while Ethereum (ETH) is rallying hours ahead of the widely-awaited press conference of the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, following this month’s meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
In this particularly favorable daily backdrop, Google Trends indicates that five tokens stand out as search volumes for these assets have been increasing in the past 24 hours. Here’s an overview of which tokens these are and why investors are scouting them.
5 Top Trending Crypto Today
#1 – Radicle (RAD)
The native token of the Radicle web3 collaborative platform RAD is surging 62% this morning at $3.76 per coin and with the keywords “rad crypto” and “radicle crypto” currently standing at the 3rd and 6th place in Google search trends in the United Kingdom in the past 24 hours.
Radicle is an open-source and decentralized solution that allows developers to collaborate by coding a project, application, or any other program together. Users can be compensated for their contribution to the projects that others have made available within the Radical platform and they can regulate who and how a certain code is manipulated by using smart contracts and blockchain-recorded signatures.
The RAD crypto token has been rallying since 25 July despite the absence of news or catalysts that justify the uptick. Trading volumes have also been surging during that period. In the past 24 hours, nearly $300 million worth of RAD has exchanged hands. This represents nearly 3 times the current market capitalization of the project.
#2 – Synthetix (SNX)
The native token of the Synthetix protocol is ranking 8th this morning on Google Trends in the UK as well as search volumes have risen 600% in the past 7 days. The price of the SNX crypto – the project’s native token – is rising by 4.5% at $3 per coin.
Synthetix allows developers to create synthetic assets that can be later on listed on several decentralized exchanges. These “synths” are considered derivatives as their value is determined by the price of the underlying asset they track.
According to the project’s official website, the protocol’s total value locked (TVL) currently stands at $317.24 million and its assets are currently listed in several decentralized exchanges and protocols including 1INCH, Curve Finance, and yearn.finance.

Just a few minutes ago, the developing team announced that AAVE has enabled users to pledge sUSD – a synth – as collateral on the V3 Optimism chain. “That’s one more use case for sUSD”, the team tweeted.
#3 – Lucky Block (LBLOCK)
Lucky Block is not trending on Google but it is in the crypto space as the V2 version of its native token LBLOCK has just been listed on LBank this week.
Trading volumes are rising nearly 31% in the past 24 hours on this centralized exchange as indicated by data compiled by CoinMarketCap and the price is surging 9.2% this morning at $0.001 per coin.

BarnBridge allows users to hedge against volatility in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem via its SMART Yield solution. Investors can use the tool to mint senior and junior bonds for yield farming and lending protocols such as Aave and Compound and earn from the difference between the interest rate offered by the protocol and the interest rate set in the BarnBridge agreement.
Senior bond holders earn a fixed rate while junior bond holders earn the positive difference between the underlying protocol’s rate and the one agreed for the senior bond.
On 6 July, the developing team proposed to migrate their entire DAO & Governance to the Optimism layer-two protocol along with their upcoming v2 Smart Yield product. This proposal is still in the process of being voted by the Optimism community.

This term refers not to an active crypto asset but a project called Copper – a crypto firm founded in 2018 that offers institutional investors access to the crypto markets through a wide variety of products and solutions.
