Cryptocurrency fan tokens of major football teams are among the biggest crypto gainers today on Binance, including all of the top 10 coins.
Fan Token Top Crypto Gainers – SANTOS, ALPINE, OG
Leading the pack is SANTOS up 135% this week and 128% in the past 24 hours – the cryptocurrency fan token of Santos FC (Brazilian club Santos Futebol Clube).
One low market cap fan token – now $67 million after this pump – topping the Binance charts would be one thing.
Incredibly though, the next nine tokens on the biggest crypto gainers list on Binance are also all fan tokens, mostly football related coins. In order, those are:
- Alpine F1 Team Fan Token (ALPINE)
- OG Fan Token (OG)
- FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO)
- S.S. Lazio Fan Token (LAZIO)
- FC Barcelona Fan Token (BAR)
- Atletico De Madrid Fan Token (ATM)
- Paris Saint-Germain Fan Token (PSG)
- AS Roma Fan Token (ASR)
- Juventus Fan Token (JUV)
Just outside the top 10 are two more fan tokens – Binance has listed a dozen fan tokens in total. Those are Manchester City Fan Token (CITY) and AC Milan Fan Token (AMC).
Why Are Fan Tokens Going Up?
It’s not 100% clear why cryptocurrency fan tokens are pumping so much. Community fan tokens may be an undervalued sector of the market as they tap into a huge international market of sports fans.
Football season has also begun, for example the English premier league began earlier this month and Spanish top-flight football kicked off last weekend.

Another possible reason may be related to rising inflation and interest rate cuts in Turkey, that have rattled investors and led to a decline in the value of the Turkish Lira (TRY).
Binance has TRY trading pairs, and Turkish investors and football fans may be buying cryptocurrency as an investment amid the devaluation of their currency.
This week a fake MUFC (Manchester United) fan token pumped 3,000% when Elon Musk joked on Twitter about buying the team.
That coin is not related to the football club. As mentioned there is a real Manchester City Fan Token (CITY) however, also up 13% in the past 24 hours.
