Funny and True Content Marketing Images

I do not believe that a marketing agency (or any business for that matter) would survive an entire week without blowing off a little steam. To help alleviate some of that stress, memes usually can be found in a hidden tab under another browser on most everyone’s screen. Not only do they help us get through the day, they also speak some truth. Hey, they wouldn’t be funny if they weren’t true, right?

Whether your preference be monkeys riding dogs, “The Office” memes, or just a good ‘ole Willy Wonka sarcasm meme, they always bring a little joy to our day. We’ve collected a few of our favorites to share. Some have a distinct marketing slant, while others just make us giggle.

This can either the 9th layer of Hell while you stay chained to your computer to suffer the wrath of sloth-speed internet OR cloud nine where you get to work from home.

In other words, be nice to your boss. We learn from memes, whether the lesson is how great we have it in our own jobs while others slave away in a less-than-superb environment or how to pass the time in between tasks at work. The real lesson, however, is just how many people out there have the same dreams, drives, and frustrations. Every image out there could have a million different taglines, and all would be fitting and true. It’s this connection through humor that speaks to the sarcastic soul inside and unites us. We’re the consumers, the masses, the giggling hordes. The best marketers know how to use this connection, to lead us with memes and other humorous images while continuing to speak the truth and gently convincing us to follow.

It’s easy to set memes aside as silly time-wasters, but as you can see, they can be a truly powerful marketing tool. Use someone else’s astute observations to make your point or create your own amazing images and start building your company’s following. Keep it simple; keep it fun. Most of all, avoid offensive content, which can only happen if you really know your consumer base. In the end, you’ll develop a powerful arsenal of laughter that touches even the most hardened buyers.

So, did you laugh enough to burn those extra calories you’ve been Pinteresting to lose? Don’t worry. There are plenty more memes out there to inspire your giggles. Go ahead and Tumblr to your heart’s content. We won’t tell.
