After accusations that Taco Bell’s “seasoned ground beef” included only 30% beef, the fast-food giant is fighting back. A January 21 lawsuit was filed against Taco bell, claiming, “Taco Bell misleads consumers when it says its restaurants serve ‘seasoned ground beef’ or “seasoned beef” and is actually serving ‘taco meat filling,’ while the remainder consists mainly of ‘extenders’ and other non-meat substances,” according to Ad Age. Through print and web ads, as well as a YouTube video, Taco Bell hopes to fight back against the attackers and reestablish its reputation as a top purveyor of spicy, cheesy, greasy fast food.
