For their latest breakfast initiative, Caribou Coffee called upon Minneapolis-based ad agency Colle+McVoy for an innovative, attention-grabbing outdoor effort. It may be early, but I think we can declare this one a success. The agency transformed bus shelters into ovens — really. In addition to housing the ads for the coffee chain’s “hot ‘n’ wholesome” breakfast sandwich, the bus shelters provided heat from overhead coils. Not a bad idea for winters in Minnesota.
I don’t know about you, but if I were waiting for the bus in Minneapolis I know exactly where I’d be standing (and probably which food I’d be craving). But according to AdFreak, “We’re told the biggest technical challenge was how not to singe people’s hair. Timberwolves players, better to stay away.”
