Tonya Harding and Sasha Farber take the dance floor next, performing the foxtrot to “When You Believe” by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

Carrie Ann Inaba says Harding is “a beautiful dancer,” praising her style. Len Goodman calls it charming and fluid, while Bruno Tonioli says he wasn’t expecting to see such “lyrical” movement. He warns her, however, to watch her neck/shoulder placement. They score a 23.

Harding is a former Olympic figure skater. According to ABC, “Harding won her first skating competition at the age of five. In 1991, at Senior Nationals, Tonya became the first American woman to attempt and land the extremely difficult Triple Axel. Her life story was recently depicted in the award-winning film ‘I, Tonya,’” which tells the story of the Harding-Nancy Kerrigan scandal.

“Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy during the special, four-week season.

The current contestants include Olympic figure skaters Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu, NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Notre Dame basketball player Arike Ogunbowale. Other athletes who are competing this season include Chris Mazdzer, Jamie Anderson, Jennie Finch, Johnny Damon, Josh Norman and Tonya Harding.

The all-athlete edition of “Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
