On Thursday morning, photos and specs for the Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 were leaked. The normally secretive company inadvertently revealed its next-generation devices in the iOS 8.1 iPad user guide. This guide, which was available in iBooks, was quickly removed and replaced with a version that lacked the previously included details.
The new devices will be announced later today, but now we have a pretty good idea about the features that will be hyped by the team at Apple.
As the screenshots confirm, the new tables feature almost identical designs to their predecessors, while adding Touch ID sensors on the Home button. The devices also feature Burst Mode, which was first introduced for the iPhone 5s.
The leaked documents point to the devices being named iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.
Based on the guides information, Apple Pay will also drop tomorrow.
At least on the new Air we can also expect a new gold color option, an A8X processor, improved camera optics, and new iOS 8.1 software.
Wait for a little longer to learn more about a new iMac with Retina display and the new highly-touted OS X Yosemite OS.
Apple has not released an official statement about the iOS 8.1 documentation leak. They will likely save all of their statements for tomorrow lineup reveal.
Based on the leaked documents are you ready to pick up the iPad Air 2 or the new iPad mini 3?
