Brand: Business success can be captured in this one term. It’s all about making yourself known, acknowledged, and respected. Just consider this: Why do people choose Nike over a cheaper local brand that looks just as good and works just as well? Because . . . Well, it’s because Nike is Nike, and the local brand isn’t. Today, the simplest way to create a brand is to establish your online presence, and the easiest way to do that is through social media.
Use Facebook Pages
Facebook has quickly become a major force in just a few years. Beyond being a highly successful company on its own, Facebook serves as a valuable tool for businesses. One way that successful companies have utilized Facebook is by creating pages. Facebook pages are exactly what they sound like—web pages where the owner can share information, photos, videos, and more. Smart businesses always have Facebook pages to share information that strengthens their credibility—start working on this as soon as you can.
Keep Fans Entertained
Whatever form of social media you decide to use, make sure you’re employing humor while you do it. Remember, people are more likely to turn to you for products and services if they trust you, and they’re more likely to trust you if they find you entertaining. So, it follows that you should make entertainment a priority. If you share a picture or a video, make sure that, at least occasionally, it’s amusing. You shouldn’t try to be a comedian, but you should certainly try to be entertaining and amicable.
Create a Pinterest Account to share your brand
Pinterest is an image sharing utility that’s growing in popularity. Users use it to share snapshots of things they encounter in their daily lives. Businesses, on the other hand, use it to share pictures of their products, services, or related materials, and good ones make frequent use of Pinterest. If you have good pictures and good captions for those pictures, you’ll end up with a huge number of followers and comments, both of which are great measures of how successful you’ve been at building your Internet authority.
Use Twitter
Everyone’s heard of Twitter. For those who haven’t, it’s a tool that allows you to share short “tweets” – little notes on life or captions on images – that are at most 140 characters in length. Celebrities, businesses, sports teams, and a whole host of high-profile entities all make use of Twitter. The more followers, the better. Once you have a lot, developing your Internet authority will be simple.
Post Frequently
The last big tip is to make frequent use of your social media outlets. Remember, people need to trust you before they’ll do business with you, or respect your authority. But they’ll only trust and respect you if they see you often – so update frequently. Daily is a good policy, but doing it more is not unheard of. So get to it. Start using Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook to build your own online authority!
