“I need that proposal ASAP”, “That order is due” or “The customer needs that request completed urgently”. We’ve all been there, haven’t we? Business moves fast, customers move even faster and staying relevant with the trends is a never ending treadmill.

Use Mindfulness To Calm A Hectic Business Culture.

Aili says that the practice of meditation can help people feel calmer, grounded and centered. Instead of “reacting to things”, you’re “responding to things” so you have a conscious choice opposed to getting really angry, stressed out or overwhelmed”. The data certainly supports these benefits. Ten times more focus, fifty percent less illness and sixty five percent more well-being. It would be in any business leaders benefit to introduce meditation with data like this. Certainly it shouldn’t surprise you that leaders like Oprah and Arianna Huffington are supporters of meditation. But what about Salesforces Marc Benioff or Def Jam Founder Russell Simmons?

What if the data about meditation is wrong?

Imagine that you introduce meditation into your business and the studies and research are all wrong. You’ve just given your employees 10 – 15 minutes a day to self reflect, to listen to their thoughts to turn off their notifications. Imagine you weren’t able to reduce health care insurance costs like Nancy Slomowitz. What would happen? Without that improved focus and productivity? You’d lose 10 – 15 minutes of productivity a day from each employee. If that small amount of time returned a fragment of those benefits wouldn’t it still be worth it?
