Back in 2011, Angela Maiers and I were in #LeadershipChat and started talking about books we were reading. On the spot I decided to choose a date and start the online book club that I had been dreaming about. Angela was reading Enchantment by Guy Kawasaki at the time and was loving it. Inspired by Angela and taking her book recommendation, I choose Enchantment and the rest is history! This short conversation on Twitter totally changed my whole online experience and through My Book Club I have met and worked with many amazing people.
Angela is a solid and experienced thought leader throughout the social media space. She has created a strong network of people who soak in her fantastic presence on a daily basis. She is an active blogger and a guest blogger at 12 Most as well. Her post 12 Most Important Things to Know about Kids Today was in the top 12 posts of the first year.
From her bio “Angela Maiers is an award-winning educator, speaker, consultant and professional trainer known for her work in literacy, leadership and global communications. She is a consistently energized and recognized worldwide speaker greatly impacting leadership through not only the education field, but the international business community as well. Challenging educational philosophies and business ethics, Angela strives to achieve total synergy and unstoppable energy by reconstructing the thought process of many dated ideologies.”
Angela gave a not-to-be-missed TED speech called You Matter which inspired a whole internet movement sharing Angela’s passionate message.
We will be talking about Angela’s book Classroom Habitudes on September 10th at 8 pm EST and we hope that you can join us!
