Now that we’ve discussed why it’s a good idea to use WordPress for your business site and how to increase the conversion rate, I’m sure the next logical question is “Where do I go to get more help with my site?”

Where to Find WordPress Help

After you’ve taken WordPress as far as you can, there are many WordPress development companies willing to help you take your site to the next level. There is no typical fee or hourly rate for their services, so make sure you evaluate any WordPress design company on their portfolio of past work and development acumen.

If you are looking to get more information to further your personal web dev resources, try looking for a local WordPress MeetUp Group. If you’re in Arizona, the Arizona WordPress MeetUp Group meets every third Thursday at Gangplank in Chandler. There you will find WordPress developers and WordPress users whose skill-sets run the gambit. The Arizona WordPress MeetUp Group is committed to teaching people how to use WordPress and further the WP platform. You can find groups like this in any state, however, by doing a simple search on MeetUp.

WordCamp is another great place to learn everything about WordPress. WordCamp Phoenix is held in January and has speakers from all over the country flying in to share their WordPress knowledge. WordCamp is a great community-run event that will give you more than your fair share of information and they have them in various cities throughout the U.S.

If all else fails, I have WordPress mentoring open office hours at Gangplank from 1-4pm on the second and fourth Tuesdays. We can work one on one and address the specifics of your site and what you want to accomplish. Feel free to make an appointment — it’s free.
