There had been much talk about life in other planets. Film makers even made movies about it to play with the idea that we are not alone in the universe. The human race had been curious with the universe outside and had tried to explore the universe with the available resources here on earth. We have discovered as far as just outside the Milky Way and scientists have tried to explain the universe in the limited knowledge that they have. 
The study of the universe started when the moon was first studied. The curiosity of the human race has no limits and had been pushing all these years to discover everything they can discover. But there are more assuming about the universe than what actually happened. Recently, a professor from Purdue University declared that a study and exploration on Phobos, a Mars moon, could give way in pinpointing proof that there is actually life of extra terrestrial life. Professor Jay Melosh said that it is easier to study the moon Phobos since it’s nearer to the Earth compared to Mars. 
Scientists have not yet really explained of how life came to be in our planet Earth. And there had been theories that space rocks that collided with the Earth before had brought life to our planet. And in that case, it also applies to other planets that space rocks also brought living organisms to other planets aside from Earth. And Prof. Melosh strongly believes that there is indeed life in other planets.
But there are also theories that say life on other planets in our solar system would be impossible because other planets are too hot or too cold. The Earth is the only planet that has the ideal environment to sustain a life. And that specific theory had led them to conclude that other solar systems could posses a planet identical to Earth and possibly have life in it because of ideal environmental conditions.
Scientists believe that life on Earth was brought by a space rock which means that we are actually extra terrestrial. So, if life on Earth did not come from Earth, then possibly we came from other places in the universe. The universe is a wide vast space which is continuously expanding and according to scientists there is no sign that the universe had slowed down in expanding. And if there is life in our solar system, scientists strongly believe that there is also life from the other million solar systems. Science has ventured outside the Earth and discoveries and inventions had been many since then. But life on Earth is still misunderstood. If only scientists could finish studying the Earth first, completely, it would be nice to know and understand our own before we start understanding others. The operation to Phobos would make another breakthrough in science if data about life did show in the findings. But our quest to fuel our curiosity of the universe would still go on, and finding extra terrestrial life would even fuel more the curiosity of the human mind.
