After proving himself hugely successful with both singing and acting, Justin Timberlake can now add interior designer to his repertoire of talent. Following a recent engagement to girlfriend Jessica Biel, Timberlake announced the debut of his latest venture, a website featuring home furnishings and art. When the brand BeachMint asked him to collaborate with Estee Stanley, a long time friend who coincidentally also helped decorate and furnish multiple homes for him, Timberlake jumped at the chance.
Stanley says the line boasts a more European flair, staying in line with her and Timberlake’s styles. They hope to create items that maintain an antique and old world look while incorporating modern design styles. Featuring every day essentials like bowls, tea mugs and rugs, the line is set to debut in May. However, for those avid fans of the former *NSYNC member, you might consider becoming a member of the venture for a fee of $10 per month which will grant you early access to the products and extra discounts.
BeachMint is a popular company for celebrities to work with on ventures outside of the entertainment industry. They also have worked with Kate Bosworth on her jewelry line, JewelMint, and with the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson on a style line, StyleMint. Timberlake and Stanley’s line will be called HomeMint. Timberlake says his friendship with Stanley is the main reason he signed on to the project.
Speculation abounded in recent months as to whether Biel and Timberlake are still engaged when photos of a ringless Biel surfaced. However, the engagement is still on and they’re planning a huge celebration for their summer nuptials. Maybe they’ll even use items from HomeMint to decorate and stock the reception? Ok, probably not, but Timberlake promises the line will be stylish and include only products that he would actually have in his house.
He says he found his challenge in locating and creating pieces with modern design principles that maintain some old world and antique allure. He wants to feature pieces that will match a wide range of design looks. A modern and chic design that still creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere is what Timberlake hopes for in his line.
