Coachella the most glamourous of the US music festivals, held each April in the Californian desert. This year, over two weekends, between which the biggest names in music from the US and UK camp out in Hollywood.
This year, headliners include Radiohead, The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre, but who was the most discussed artist of all the live acts playing over three days?
First lets have a look at the biggest sites for coverage of the three day festival. Fig 1. Top sites for Coachella
Twitter and Facebook landing the top spots are no surprise considering the demographic of the festival: young, tech savvy (and beautiful). But it is interesting that an Australian rock blog actually cites more mentions than the Coachella site itself. Finally, the big reveal. So technology stole the show. The hollogram of Tupac was the most talked about act of the festival’s first weekend. As we head into weekend two, it will be interesting to see if any living artist can compete this time.
