If you’re looking for a quality, yet easy-to-use camera, the Canon PowerShot A2500 should be on your list. It offers a 16-megapixel sensor and DIGIC 4 image processing, which is a fancy way of saying it takes high-resolution photos and has a fast processor. It records 720 pixel HD movies in case Uncle Bill gets a little wild at the holiday party, and at an affordable price, it’s an ideal choice for amateur photographers.
Fortunately, there are numerous deals out there to get a Canon PowerShot A2500 at a bargain. Here are a few based on the level of effort you’re willing to put into this savings adventure!
If you’re a college student and just looking to save a few bucks without climbing Mount Everest (figuratively, of course), you’re just a few clicks away from five percent off. Just click through UPromise’s site to purchase the camera from Best Buy.
Others can use cash-back website Mr. Rebates to save five percent. Basically, you just have to click through to Wal-Mart’s site to get this easy discount.
In either case, you’ll pay around $65.55 for this camera.
A Little More Effort…
Another option is to sign up for a Sears credit card. With it, you’ll get 10 percent in points on the first $1,000 in purchases.

Then, go through FatWallet.com to make your purchase for an additional six percent discount. With this hack, you’ll pay $67.19 for the A2500, as it is a bit more expensive (before savings) at $79.99.
Or, if you’re a Target fan, sign up for a Target REDcard credit or debit card. If you already have one, even better! You’ll save five percent simply for using the card in-store or online for a final price of $75.99.
Go all Out and Save About $70
If you sign up for a Walmart credit card and spend at least $75 that day or the day after, you’ll get a $25 statement credit. Then, you can go to Mr. Rebates to get an additional five percent off.
Note that the camera won’t add up to $75 alone, so you may have to purchase another item or two to get the $25 statement credit. That shouldn’t be a problem, since Wal-Mart sells just about everything. Just pick up a few items you were going to purchase anyway to get your savings.
Note that the free shipping cutoff is December 19, so you may want to make your purchase in-store to save as much money as possible.
The final cost will be $40.55 when all savings are tallied.
If you’re looking for easy savings on the Canon PowerShot A2500, just click through Mr. Rebates or UPromise to make the purchase at BestBuy.com. You’ll save five percent off the already good price of $69, which comes out to well under $66.
You can also save a decent amount at Sears if Best Buy doesn’t work for you. It’ll be a little harder, but if you sign up for a Sears card and click through FatWallet.com to make your purchase, you’ll get the camera for $67.19.
Finally, you can get this camera for a steal at Walmart. You’ll have to work for it by signing up for a store card and then clicking through Mr. Rebates while spending at least $75, but it’ll be well worth it if you’re on a tight budget.
Which approach will you take to saving on the Canon A2500 this year? Whatever your decision, be sure to responsibly recycle or donate any unwanted electronics from last year.
