This is New York City. I am on the Hudson River Greenway. Just south of 14th Street.
My most favorite time in NYC is Sunday, early morning. The City is quiet. Still sleeping from the night before. In a City of 8 million souls — you think it impossible to find a moment of quiet. But it is possible. You just need to know when and where.
The Hudson River Greenway is a walkway that runs from the Esplanade to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. It’s a wonderful walkway. Which is peppered with small parks, man-made jetties, tennis courts and a beautiful view of the World Trade Center.
In the early Sunday morning, just grab a cup of coffee. Find a comfortable spot. And enjoy the sunrise.
