The sequel to Rome: Total War has been declared to be release in 2013 by Sega and The Creative Assembly. The game has been in development at their studio in London. The release of this series means that it will return to its original series like how Shogun: Total War also made a sequel last year. The first Total War was first release eight years ago. Mike Simpson who is the Creative directors expressed that they are working to push the Total War to the boiling point. It starts from the unlimited read of its sandbox campaign until to the human dramatization of each single soldier on the war zone, they are aspiring for an exceptional level of feature and extent.

The brand director Rob Bartholemew stated that in their 25 years of creating games development, they feel like it is right to go back to their most critically acclaimed period. There have been vast improvements in the technology since the release of the original game and they are prepared to make another history in gaming. The Total War games have been the most successful commercially and critically respected games by Sega. Replacing the first Rome: Total War will be difficult, since it has garnered a 92% Metacritic rating back in 2004.

Rome: Total War or RTW is a PC strategy game that was developed by The Creative Assembly and was released last September 2004 by Activision. It’s Mac OS X version was released on February 2010 by Feral Interactive. This is the Total War in the Total War Series. The game is set during the late Roman Republic and early Roman Empire. The player will be playing one of the three Roman families that they choose. The game play consists or real time tactical battles that are framed within a turn-based strategic campaign that is played across Europe, North Africa and the Near East.

On the larger scale, what the players do is that they each turn controlling diplomacy, cultivating foundation, put squad in motion and controlling the population’s growth and structure using taxes and gladiatorial games. You can play this game in a smaller scale, using real time battle against enemy armies that can occur within or between the cities where a player can control forces that can have thousand of warriors. This game was said to be one of the greatest video games of all time. It has been received well by gamers that it has generated loyal fans.

The Total: War Rome II is the sequel and will be release in 2013 for Microsoft Windows. This will be the eight standalone game in the Total War series. It will also be set on the classical antiquity and will be focus in on the Roman Republic, where it can allow players to make the game into the Roman Empire if they choose to do so. It was reported that this game will have a larger campaign map compare to its predecessor and it will have new territories. There would be a new graphic engine that can power the visuals of this game and it will not have the ability for the camera to focus on individual soldiers when they are fighting in the battlefield.

    Umm… It will have the ability to focus on individual soldiers, that’s one of the MAIN factors CA has highlighted. In fact, it will have more little details than any previous TW game. It will probably be released on late march to early june, considering the hype.
