Mass Effect Assuming Direct Control…of Final Fantasy?

Creating a Mass Effect 3 save file on my console seems to have absorbed every other game that comes in its way. Firstly Shepard donated his armour to the cause in ‘Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning’, as well as some rather swish Omniblades. Next, an N7 themed snow-board arrived inconspicuously on my ‘SSX’ profile. Now, it seems to be extending its reach to ‘Final Fantasy Xiii-2’. No, really.

Today, it has been revealed that it’s merging with games outside of the EA threshold. Later this month, players will be able to kit out the Noel and Serah with their very own pieces of N7 armour.

Has April Fool’s come early? Most likely not, as ‘Final Fantasy-Xiii 2’ seems to be loving its fashionista crossovers. Before the games release, it was announced that the perky protagonists were to leave Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio stark naked as Noel raided his wardrobe for his signature robes.

The armour is set to land on the 27th of March for 240 Microsoft Points on XBLA and £2.99 on PSN. Looking forward to don the armour in a new title? Hoping for another piece of kit to be nicked for release in the near future? Or is this precisely the sort of DLC you don’t intend on getting, be it a weird yet wonderful crossover or not?
