32. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are still looking for their first lead this season in regulation. It may never come.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars
Blaine Gabbert has started to take some strides as a starting quarterback. Maybe it will lead to wins soon.
30. Carolina Panthers
They beat Washington 21-13 on Sunday. Does that mean that Carolina is on the upswing? More importantly, does it tell us who will be president?
29. Cleveland Browns
At least they are showing some fight. Another solid draft and a coaching change could work wonders.
28. Tennessee Titans
Bud Adams doesn’t like his team right now. Brian Urlacher doesn’t mind them though.
27. Cincinnati Bengals
They have now lost four games in a row. Another victory doesn’t look likely for awhile. Welcome back, Bungles.
26. Washington Redskins
The Redskins claim that they are playing for next season. That is what any fan wants to hear, right?
25. Arizona Cardinals
Talk about coming back to Earth. Maybe this team wasn’t very good after all.
24. Oakland Raiders
Doug Martin just ran for multiple touchdowns. On a positive note, Phillip Wheeler fantasy owners got some garbage points.
23. Dallas Cowboys
Romo looked OK at times last Sunday night. Unfortunately, that defense just couldn’t contain in the 4th quarter.
22. Buffalo Bills
Mario Williams looked solid. Chan Gailey has job security. Those are two things that most people wouldn’t expect after a 21-9 loss.
21. New York Jets
Bye weeks are always fun. At least they get to rest up before they keep their losing streak going.
20. New Orleans Saints
Sean Payton may be the Saints most high-profile free agent this season. Forget the game this week, that’s the story of the week in New Orleans.
19. Philadelphia Eagles
Mike Vick should be the default starter for the rest of the year. Nick Foles simply won’t help in any big way this season.
18. St. Louis Rams
They get a favorable rating simply because they couldn’t have played any worse than the teams around them.
17. Minnesota Vikings
Another team that is coming back down to Earth. You can’t squander a huge rushing day from Adrian Peterson like that.
16. Detroit Lions
See what happens when you throw it to Calvin Johnson a lot? Mike LeShoure had an improbable game as well with three touchdowns.
15. Miami Dolphins
They could still very well be in the playoff race come December. On the other hand, they could still finish last in their division.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Doug Martin, welcome to the NFL. Fantasy owners were treated to anywhere from 40-60 points last Sunday. Alfred Morris has nothing on Doug Martin when it comes to spectacular rookie running backs.
13. San Diego Chargers
Nice bounce back win against a lesser opponent. They continue to be the most frustrating team to watch. Super Bowl talent is wasted on draft lottery type execution each week.
12. Indianapolis Colts
Wow, look who is at number 12! Andrew Luck is starting to get MVP talk associated with him. Could he really be THAT good?
11. Denver Broncos
The guy that was quarterback in Indy before Luck is showing why he has been such a great player. At 5-3, Denver is eyeing a division title in a weak AFC West.
10. Seattle Seahawks
Seattle is so close to being 9-0. However, they will gladly take a winning record through this part of the season.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers
A great win against the Giants. That is what great teams do when they are behind on the road.
8. New England Patriots
The Pats look to make the AFC East their division for the 105th consecutive season. Its doubtful that Buffalo puts up much of a challenge next week.
7. San Francisco 49ers
The Niners are looking to also put some teams in the rear view mirror this week. A win this week puts them squarely in the playoff picture.
6. Green Bay Packers
The Packers look to be back in dominant form. Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb seem to have a chemistry between them now.
5. Baltimore Ravens
Beating Cleveland may not seem like much. However, a win is a win in this league. The Steelers loom large.
4. New York Giants
Tough loss. They will still win their division.
3. Chicago Bears
Perhaps a weak 7-1, but still tied for the second-best record in football. There is no arguing with success.
2. Houston Texans
Houston is also 7-1. Their game against Chicago next week is being dubbed as the game between teams who have lost handily to the Packers.
1. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are once again the top rated team in football. 8-0 is something to be proud of. The scary part is that they tend to get better each week.
