Ty Lawson Shooting a 3-Pointer
Last night Ty Lawson led the Denver Nuggets to a 130-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves by hitting 10 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 37 points. Ty Lawson became the first player in NBA history to start a game by making 10 straight 3-pointers, but failed to make history by missing on his final attempt from behind the arc. The record for the most made 3-pointers in a NBA game without a single miss is still held by Latrell Sprewell who went 9 for 9 from deep for the New York Knicks in 2003.
The record would have been Ty Lawson’s if he would have just stopped his 3-point barrage after going 10 for 10 from behind the arc. For his career, Ty Lawson is a 40.8% percent 3-point shooter and averages less than two attempts per game.
