2014 NCAA March Madness Tournament Bracket

March Madness is one of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans. It even outpaces the Super Bowl in terms of overall interest. The SEC’s tournament winner the Florida Gators have taken the number 1 seed in the south Region for the 2014 March Madness tournament and are ranked as the best team going into the division one Mens College basketball tournament. The last time they were ranked number 1 was when they won the championship in 2006 and again in 2007.

They will play against whomever wins the playin game on Tuesday between Albany and St. Mary’s. The number 2 seeded team in this side of the bracket is Kansas who finished the season at 24-9 and they won their Big 12 regular season but lost their conference title. Their team is led by Maple Jordan star Andrew Wiggins who is averaging 17.4 points per game.

The selection committee is receiving only the slightest criticism for where they have placed the teams in their respective brackets. Louisville the defending champions led by Rick Pitino have been seeded in the number 4 spot and Michigan state as well as Michigan State in the Eastern Bracket playing against the University of Delaware in the first round.

Witchita State is entering with the best record and landed the number 1 seed but that does not mean that they will run through the NCAA bracket undefeated. The Midwest Region pits them with the chance to play against Kentucky and Louisville as well as the Duke Blue Devils.  Gonzaga plays against Oklahoma State in a tough first round that will give the Arizona Wildcats a tough game in the West’s second round. Also watch out for Nebraska who plays Baylor in the first round of the west. Duke is also a 3 seed in the Midwest Bracket and will be expected to play as well as they always do in the tournament.

Remember have fun with your tournament brackets and good luck winning your office pool!
