    First let me say that I am a HUGE proponent of using social to engage with the customer. Twitter may be the sigle best customer service platform ever created and more companies need embrace it as such.

    HOWEVER, in work done with two of our clients, in highly specialized market segments, we found that they did not use social. This finding caused us to adjust our channel planning accordingly leading to many successful channels, including radio.

    Of course this is very much the exception to the rule.
