    I love everything about this article except for the fact that “social” was put in front of “business.” If it’s not about social media then why call it social business. Everything has social in front of it these days to put a new spin on an old subject. We marketers need to stop putting spins on things because all we do is muck up the understanding of channels, tactics and strategies. That goes for authors too.

  • Thank you for the comment. I’m the first to say we put spins on things that have existed for longer times. I’m not saying that social media has nothing to do with social business though. It’s just broader. The use of social media for marketing and even business purposes is just one piece of a broader puzzle. It’s also important to distinguish between media, technologies and channels. Maybe this post clarifies better what I mean: Thanks again!
