Why It Is Not Advisable to Use Automated SEO Software

Speculations and rumors are spreading in the search engine optimization industry and a lot of people are wondering, which of the so-called “SEO Gurus’ Tips” should they follow. Some are saying that using automated programs will give you better results, while some are saying that manually building your ranks is still the best. These gurus have their own explanation as to why they believe that their method is the best, but if you are going to ask me, using automated SEO programs is not as effective as they were before.

Years before the well-known “Panda and Penguin Update”, getting higher search engine rankings is very simple; all you have to do is to build links from anywhere on the web and you’ll already get better rankings than your competitors. This is the reason why you need to use automated programs before. It will give you the ability to build an unlimited number of links and all you have to do is to run the program. But now that the gameplay has changed, building too much links won’t be beneficial for your business anymore. In fact, it could even lead to ruining your rankings.

Whatever you say, links that were made using automated programs will always be deemed by search engines as “spam links”. These links may give you “link juices” before, but not anymore. Google and other major search engines have updated their algorithm to stop this web spam activity and prevent low value sites to appear high in search results and most of these sites even get penalized. So if you still think that you will get higher rankings just by building more links, regardless of where they came from, then you’re in big trouble.

SEO no longer depends on the number of links, but mainly on 2 parts first is the quality of your website and the contents that you have in it and 2nd on the quality and relevance of links pointing to your site. You need to focus on the relevance and quality if you want to make your efforts will pay off. Search engine optimization no longer works like magic. You need to go through a process of proving your credibility in the eyes of search engines.

In fact, some say that these engines are more focused on the social activity of your visitors than the links that are pointing to your site. The more interaction and attention your website gets from your visitors, the higher ranks your website will receive.

Search metric just published a white paper that says Facebook shares surpass the number of links as the main ranking factor in the US. Therefore, this is how you implement proper optimization of your website (can be done by you or an SEO Services provider); not by using automated programs that are promising to give you better rankings. It simply won’t work with the current updates and algorithms that are being used by Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Ask!
