Hello Joydeep and thank you for your article.
Regarding your text I have a doubt. Using Google Authority I should firm all the articles I write for my company: in the website, in Facebook, in Google Plus, ecc… But if I sign these articles I think I’m giving more importance to myself than to my brand. Isn’t it negative for my purpose of branding?

  2. Hi Joydeep,
thanks for this very usefull article. I tried this tip a couple of week ago and it works.

  3. Hi Libia, The concept behind Google Plus Authorship and brands works this way – “If more popular and niche authors are associated with your brand (means they are then Google will see your brand as more trustworthy”. ‘Your brand’ and ‘you’ are both separate entities but a combination of these two gives the best results.

  4. I am wondering if Authorship eliminates duplicate content issues when syndicating content to other sites. For example: blog posts syndicating out to Networked Blogs as well as others.

  5. Mike says:

Informative article, but I somewhat agree with Libia. What if you work for a company? The content may be written by you, but in the end it belong to the company. Can more than one entity claim authorship for the same content? And if no, do you push the company or yourself for the purpose of Author rank?

  6. Hi Mike, Author rank is for individuals and not for companies. There are two cases which works here:-

1- Author rank comes into play for smaller websites and businesses where a sole entrepreneur promotes his/her brand. In this scenario, the content of the website can be promoted by the author.

2- In other case, bigger brands cannot rely upon a single person to promote their brand. Hence, they employ several reputed authors to promote their brand or if the brand is popular enough then several reputed authors start to talk about the brand, passing their individual author values to the brand.

In both the cases, the brand along with the author gets promoted on Google.
