Prospective clients (and even friends that own a business) often ask me, “Pat, should I advertise my business on the internet?” They may even ask more specifically, “Should I use Google AdWords for my business?”
The answer to that question is… it depends.
It’s Not For Every Business
It depends in large part to the nature of their business. Some businesses are not good candidates. If you are in doubt, give us a call and we can do a quick assessment of your business and marketplace. It is an expensive proposition to move forward simply on an assumption.
But many, if not most, businesses should definitely consider advertising on Google, or Yahoo or Microsoft Bing.
Consider that more and more people are turning to the internet to find answers to their questions, or solutions to their problems. If YOU need a plumber, or your gutters cleaned, or your house painted, or your air conditioning isn’t working, where do you go?
You Can’t Argue With These Numbers
Did you know that the latest number I have heard tossed around is that 1.3 billion (with a B) searches occur EVERY DAY on the internet. That number has increased a staggering 1,100% in the last four years! That is only projected to continue increasing.
If one lake has more fish tomorrow that it had yesterday, why wouldn’t you fish there?
Also consider that the people using a search engine are actually looking for you business. They aren’t just driving down the highway and see a sign that advertises your business (yawn!). They are actively looking for exactly what you offer.
Who wouldn’t want a piece of that action?
A Word Of Caution…
Even though internet advertising is an excellent (lucrative) option for businesses, there are many true stories of companies that have spent a fair amount of coin in an attempt to get more customers or clients… only to lose their shirts.
Internet advertising can be tricky… if you don’t know what you are doing. Download my free report that will guide you to navigate the treacherous waters so you can earn a 200-500% profit on your efforts.
No, I am not making that number up. That is a very typical return for clients using our internet advertising services.
