    Great article discussing how reliant consumers are becoming on online reviews to provide reassurance prior to making a purchase.

    I think the emphasis at the end was slightly skewed, as 70% of respondents still trust reviews from those they don’t know. Depending on the merchant, that could still be the vast majority of their customers.

    It’s therefore surprising that so many businesses still rely on open platforms where competitors, employees and those with a vested interest can leave reviews. Feefo feedback is verified by sales data to ensure that only those that have genuinely done business with a company are invited to leave a review. It’s a far more robust and honest system.

    Generating reviews through a verified platform make them that much more trustworthy.
