These days, you can’t beat the infographic for getting results of a comparison study to the masses. They’re bright, engaging and usually have pretty good insights. This infographic compares in detail the differences between social advertising and paid ads on the Google Display Network. Though we don’t believe that is comparing apples to apples, it is interesting how they have rated each platform. A few things we thought were interesting:
1. Google seems to be leaving something to be desired in ad targeting options (Facebook definitely does).
2. Facebook has yet to figure out its mobile ad platforms.
3. Rapidly-declining click-through rates on Facebook seem to be a problem for advertisers.
