A Customer Service Story Told with Lord of the Rings Action Figures

The more I get involved with Social Media, the more I understand that it’s less about marketing, and more about providing a great customer experience. Social Media is empowering: it empowers our customers and can empower our businesses as well.

This idea brings to mind a story of something that happened more than 40 years ago when I was a very young child living in the suburbs of Philadelphia. My dad has always been a real stickler for being treated properly (and respectfully) as a customer. On this particular occasion that didn’t happen, and he let them know it. I act it out for you in this video with the help of the troll from Lord of the Rings and a few hobbits, elves, and other characters. Enjoy!
