You have probably heard by now that Twitter and Linkedin have parted ways
This is really a great thing for people like you and I who actively connect on Linkedin.
On your home page, you see all sorts of updates from your connections.
99% of these updates are people connecting with other people. System generated updates
Now, if you are part of the 1% and you actually post some original content, guess what,
- Your posts will be fresh
- Your posts will stand out more just like on Twitter – See yesterday’s post!
- Your posts will keep others informed
- Your posts will not be fed in from Twitter as a repeat post
As a result, you now have a larger presence on Linkedin. In additionyour message is being read by business professionals. If you are in business, this is a great thing.
Since the split, I have seen more traffic to links I have posted on Linkedin. By taking twitter posts out of the picture, the content on Linkedin improved tremendously. More professional-type posts are really refreshing.
Take advantage of this opportunity to have a bigger voice and reach on Linkedin, you may be surprised at the results.
