Lamborghini’s Aventador Roadster is an automotive marvel that shines as the successor to the highly popular Murcielago Roadster. How exactly does the Aventador Roadster stack up against the Murcielago Roadster. For one thing, the Aventador is more expensive—it has a base price of over $445,000, compared to $319,000 for the Murcielago. The Aventador, however, is well worth its sticker tag. The new Aventador boasts a robust 691 HP V-12 engine, more powerful than the Murcielago’s 630 HP V-12.
While the Murcielago has a 6-speed manual transmission, the Aventador comes equipped with 7-speed e-gear transmission with an automatic mode option. The new automotive spectacle features a brand new ISR single clutch gearbox that charge gear in just 50 milliseconds. Now for something car enthusiasts will truly appreciate—the Murcielago is able to go 0-60 mph in an impressive 3.2 seconds and hit an impressive top speed of 199 mph, but the Aventador goes above and beyond. The vehicle can go 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and hit a top of speed of 217 mph. This makes the Aventador the first car to travel faster than an airplane!
