Which Small Businesses Are Creating Mobile Apps? [Infographic]

Bizness Apps created the infographic below to outline the top industries to create mobile apps for businesses. We also included some powerful statistics to show the increase in mobile app adoption for small businesses.

More than ever small businesses should be thinking about going mobile, and with Bizness Apps, small businesses can develop a complete mobile marketing strategy with a mobile app and a mobile website for less than the price of a newspaper ad.

Smaller companies, which make up nearly 97 percent of businesses in the U.S., are starting to understand why it’s worth putting resources toward mobile. Sixty-nine percent of small businesses know that mobile marketing — even if not in app form — could grow their companies significantly in the next five years, and many of those companies plan to increase budgets accordingly.

In terms of the most popular industries creating mobile apps for their businesses, restaurants came first, with a 22 percent likelihood, followed by professional services, which includes lawyers, retailers, accountants, and doctors. Fitness clubs come third, likely to allow their gym members to stay up to date on exercise classes and other fitness tips.

In conclusion, mobile websites are perfect for customer acquisition through local searches, and mobile apps are perfect for customer loyalty through engaging features such as loyalty programs, coupons, mobile shopping, food ordering, push notifications, and more. When both are used in conjunction, small businesses have a complete mobile marketing strategy for bringing in new customers and keeping existing customers coming back.
