How will you celebrate this Mother’s Day? Maybe you’re dreaming of a tropical vacation? A simple weekend away? A relaxing day of pampering at the spa?
No matter what you dream of doing, let’s face it, there’s no better way to celebrate motherhood than bonding with your daughter.
Here are two easy recipes that will not only make your day shine, but create more radiant skin.
You and your daughter will laugh and giggle, while using a few simple ingredients from your kitchen to create a professional spa-type treatment. Your daughter will learn the importance of taking care of her skin and feel a sense of accomplishment, while you both build memories wonderful Mother’s Day memories.

The first spa treatment is the Mother & Daughter Radiant Glow. It’s an easy-to-make face scrub that exfoliates away the dull, dead skin cells – leaving your skin refreshed and radiant. You’ll need:
4 Tbsp Almonds
1 ½ Tbsp Milk
1 tsp Flour
2 tsp Honey
Grind the almonds in a blender or food processor. The trick is not to grind the almonds too small. You want the grains to be like sea salt or coarse type grains, so they have more of an exfoliating action. If you really want just a gentle scrub, you can grind the almonds up smaller. Next, add in the milk, flour and honey. Mix until it becomes a paste.
Next, splash your daughters face with warm water. Yes, I mean literally, splash her face! While you want the skin wet before applying the scrub, take a moment to have fun and joke around. You may even want to keep a water balloon or two hidden in the cabinet in case it breaks out in an all out water fight!
Next, gently massage the mix over her face and neck area. Then, rinse well with warm water. Now that she has seen how it’s done, let her repeat the process on you!

But no mother & daughter spa day would be complete without nourishing and hydrating your fresh skin. Try the Pure Heaven Face Mask. You’ll need:
2 Tbsp Yogurt
2 Egg Yolks
2 Tbsp Honey
Make a contest out of cracking the eggs. Then, separate the egg, disposing of the egg white. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, the egg yolks and honey. Mix well. Let stand until room temperature. Then, apply to your daughter first, showing her how to do it. After, let her do the same to you. While the mask sets for fifteen minutes, you both can have fun seeing who can make the funniest face. Finally, rinse off the mask with warm water.
While your daughter builds confidence in accomplishing making her own beauty products, she learns about skin care…and you get a little bit of pampering! But the real reward is spending Mother’s Day together!
