Showcase Your Favorite Apps!
Facebook’s new Timeline layout for Brand pages brings a change to where our custom tabs display on the page.
However, beyond changing their location, this has gifted us with the ability to change their graphic to suit out needs… something that was not possible before!
Visit your Page (in Timeline format, or preview) and go to the apps drop-down.
Now, hover over the image for the app that you want to change and click the “Pencil” icon on the image.
This will open a drop-down. In the drop-down, click “Edit Settings”.

This opens a popup box with a tiny link that says “Change” next to “Custom Tab Image”. Click that.

This opens another tab in your browser (or window in some browsers) and gives you the developer settings for the app.
Here you will see the current image. You can again click “Change” to replace that image with your choice of images.

Pro Tip: You can upload a JPG, GIF, or PNG file. If the image is larger than 111 x 74 pixels it will be resized to fit. Best to use those dimensions to start with for quality.
So there you go, now you can get great images that showcase the app and drive either branding or clickthrough!

In order to change the graphic you have to have it be a custom created app correct? I am a small time designer and not too web savy, so i have been using programs like Pagemodo and MailChimp to help my clients save money. Do you have a suggestion for a designer like me?
