You will find the option in your dashboard to enable or disable your page from BOTH showing similar page suggestions AND being included in suggestions on other pages.

How do I turn on or off similar Page suggestions for a Page I manage?

When someone visits a Page and likes it, they may see a list of similar Pages they might also like.

You can turn this feature off for your Facebook Page so people won’t see these recommendations.

When you turn similar Page suggestions off, your Page will also stop appearing in recommendations when people like Pages that are similar to yours.

To turn on or off similar Page suggestions:

1. From the top of your Page, click Edit Page
2. Select Manage Permissions
3. Click Your Settings in the left column
4. Check or Uncheck the box next to Similar Page Suggestions

To Enable Or Disable?

For me, I’m leaving this option enabled. I like the idea of sharing the love and I’m enjoying getting some likes from random places. I’m a big fan of page owners supporting each other.

However, I have some clients who have chosen to disable the feature under fears that they may be shown as “similar” on a completely unrelated and problematic page.

This is not entirely unfounded because on many pages the “similar” results are a mess of seemingly unrelated pages.

We don’t yet know how Facebook is defining “similar” and whether or not the individuals previous likes are creating a “personalized” result.
