Twitter Reacts To Chord Overstreet’s Removal From ‘Glee’ As Series Regular

Entertainment

After the announcement was made by Glee’s creator Ryan Murphy that Chord Overstreet will not be returning to the show as a series regular, fans have taken to Twitter to get that move reversed.  In the same statement, Murphy said that Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr. will be promoted to full-time cast members.

Chord Overstreet Not Returning To New Season Of Glee

The news is striking to Gleeks as it was earlier reported that most of the cast will be gone following next season’s conclusion as they will have graduated.  The move to get rid of Overstreet makes way for one of the contestants from the “Glee Project.”

As of right now, there is a chance that Overstreet could still appear on Glee during next fall’s third season.  The news was first hinted at through Overstreet’s Twitter: “well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh.”  Certainly, the latest move changes the outcome of the finale’s surprise that Overstreet’s character was dating Amber Riley’s Mercedes.

There goes my motivation for watching next season. I’m out. great job at another crappy move, Ryan Murphy.

  2. FinnFan! says:

So … Murphy finally had the decency to give that one black chick a romantic storyline (along with growing a pair big enough to make it interracial and with a decent, popular jock) — only to then turn around, lose his balls in the process; and get rid of both the jock and the romance.

What a totally coward and a loser.

Glee (like Klaine) now just completely sucks.
