Where to Get Great Content for Your Site

Content Marketing

Today, having consistent great content on your site is one of the most effective marketing strategies around. Great content not only lets search engines know that your site is active and being updated all the time, but it also gives search engines more pages for users to find. More searchable content means more traffic to your site. Using the following methods are great proven ways to get solid content on your site.

1. Buy It

There are numerous sites out there that let you connect with freelance writers. This is one way to turn the content ideas you have into a reality. But, one of the best sites is called, Content Row. Since brainstorming good article ideas and outlines is hard sometimes (and sometimes freelancers don’t have enough knowledge of a topic), this site has professional pre-written articles you can buy and download that are unique only to you. Basically, once you buy it they are no longer available to others. They also have a page where you can order custom content if you can’t find what you’re looking for. And their quality is always top-notch.

A second way you can “buy it” is by hiring someone as an employee. If your business is generating enough income and is looking to stay active online, then hiring someone to become part of your organization is a great way to go. This allows them to become familiar with your business and therefore their articles should show greater depth in regards to your industry and practices.

2. Guest Bloggers

Reaching out to other bloggers and webmasters in related fields is another great way to get content. There are lots of bloggers out there all looking to expand their reach and gain new readers. All they typically ask in return is for an author byline at the end of the article and a link back to their site. If you can provide them with that in your articles you can get a lot of people who will write for you for free.

To do this, you can either start contacting bloggers with sites on topics similar to yours or let it be known on your site that you are open to other contributors. This means creating a page which states this, letting them know in the sidebar, or stating it on your contact page. And if you’re a site without a contact page, make sure to get one up. That element is kind of crucial to this step.

3. Write It Yourself

Nobody knows your topic and what you’re looking for like you do. What’s that old saying, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.” If you have an article in mind, instead of spending all the time searching for other solutions, you could have already written it. Especially if your topic takes experience and knowledge to grasp, finding someone else with that knowledge will be hard. If you don’t have the time, you’ll just have to find it. Hard working people always can. And if you can’t write, all it takes is practice. If you set aside time to write consistently think about how good you’ll be in a few months.

So, there you have it. Those are three main ways you can find great content for your site.
