What better way to boost slow December sales than with $2 sandwiches? Subway, the nation’s largest sandwich chain, is offering two of their six inch subs for only $2 each all December long.
Customers will be able to choose from the cold cut combo or meatball marinara as a part of Subway’s Customer Appreciation Month.
USA Today quoted Tony Pace, marketing chief at Subway’s franchisee advertising fund as saying, “The Subway deal is the lowest-price 6-inch sandwich that the chain has offered in years. We’re just showing folks a little love when everyone is fretting about the economic future.”
The USA Today article went on to note that “December is typically a slower month not just for Subway but for the entire fast-food industry,” making the $2 promotion a smart marketing move for the chain.
Will you be taking advantage of Subway’s $2 deal in December? I would, but I’m a vegetarian. We get no love. *Sigh*

Figures they’d give the two most disgusting sandwiches for cheap! Yucko!
Why don’t you just order the cold cut combo without the cold cuts? ;)
I tried that, and they refused. They told me that a veggie sub is not part of the promotion. I asked if they could put the meat on the side, then. Nope. I didn’t know if it’s because the Sandwich Artist/Owner is just a dick or if this is Subway policy.
Interesting! That’s exactly why I hadn’t tried that because I figured they’d say that. Strange because they’d be saving money by a consumer not wanting the meat… Doesn’t make sense!
Heck yeah I will take advantage, yummy I love both subs <3
