There were 491.4 million smartphones sold worldwide in 2011, with 982 million looking to be sold in 2015. This means that millions more people will have access to the Internet straight from their smartphone device.
For business, this means they’re going to have to come up with new ways to reach people, and come up with better ways for employees to communicate with each other. Whether it’s coming up with original, visual content for people to consume and share, or human resources conducting remote job interviews for candidates who live in another city. We’re seeing the web come to life with awesome video features. Valuable education and training opportunities abound on sites like Skillshare, leading the way for peer-to-peer education opportunities.
Businesses are also coming up with better ways for their employees to interact with each other, and their consumers. The benefits for consumers include improved customer service, and more memorable experiences. Organizations will benefit from improved customer engagement, and collaboration efficiency.
