This week I wanted to talk about an issue that arose when a client (whose industry would not fit the standards) wanted a website design with a black background. The main element I explore is whether or not a dark background affects readability on a website.

When it comes down to it, websites are affected by many more elements than just the color of the background. A few things to think about are Whitespace, Typography, and Contrast.
