Profile: Tom Matte

Tom Matte founded MAX Advertising 18 years ago out of a firm conviction that professional services marketing didn’t have to be boring, even for very conservative corporations. What he found was that an added dash of fun in the workplace actually inspires better, more creative ideas that clients love. He and his team of experts have been delighting customers in the Atlanta business advertising community with effective, results-driven campaigns ever since.

Tom Matte’s dynamic personality sets the tone at MAX and is largely responsible for the firm’s success and its phenomenal employee retention. He stays on top of the trends in the ever-changing fields of Atlanta business advertising and marketing, keeping the firm nimble and fresh. He has been involved in a number of professional organizations, including the Legal Marketing Association, Leadership Buckhead, Association for Accounting Marketing, Georgia Healthcare Association, Second Wind Zoom Groups, The Creative Growth Group and the Rainmaker Council.

Tom Matte is also active with TEC, the world’s leading CEO organization, where he served as an executive co-team member. He has also been involved in Leadership Buckhead, a leadership development group of the Buckhead Business Association. He is frequently asked to speak for executive groups on topics such as his experience as a creative marketing strategist, best practices for creating a legal marketing campaign, conversational branding, and the changing face of marketing today. He, and his company, are very active in pro bono work for such organizations as the March of Dimes, Atlanta Film Festival, My First Bike, The Salvation Army and the Georgia Council on Child Abuse.

Even when he’s not at work, clever marketing ideas are always running through Tom Matte’s mind. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys; he’s an avid reader; and active triathlete.
