Simon Bowthorpe, FRSA has two decades of experience in advertising and media across EMEA/MENA and the Americas. 

Educated at Eton College, he holds a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Schiller International University and a Master in Digital Marketing from the Instituto Internacional de Marketing y Negocios.

His remit includes corporate leadership and representation, senior client service and public relations, agency management, strategic business planning, business development, operational procedures, financial reporting, performance evaluation, talent acquisition and retention, training and team building

Simon worked at Grey, Young & Rubicam and CMG and was CEO of two media agencies before starting a span as a new business and client service consultant to global media and advertising agencies.

At the beginning of 2013, Simon was appointed GM of UM Qatar (the largest media agency in the country) and at the end of the same year took over as Managing Director of both UM & FP7/DOH (Part of McCann Worldgroup).

In 2015, he was also invited to oversee the operations of Magna Global in Qatar.

Simon is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is active on college campuses and at corporate events speaking on a variety of topics such as social media, digital marketing, career orientation and negotiation techniques.
